The Vibe
Oasis is a small day spa with a classic European feel. The small size paves the way for the exclusive feel of a private getaway.
The Little Things
Teresa, the owner, personally greeted me at door, served me a glass of wine, which was perfect to help me unwind after a busy day at work, and sat with me while I filled out a skincare questionnaire…During my facial, Teresa explained each step of the facial, the benefits of each product, why each step was important.
The Star Treatment
I had three different services at Oasis and was impressed by the quality of each. My facial was thorough and I felt very comfortable in Teresa’s care. She analyzed my skin and provided a lot of good information for me on what my skin requires and better ways to clean and protect it.
My facial included an exfoliation that contained 10% glycolic acid, which was tingly and itchy, just as Teresa said it would be. The glycolic actually works for up to 48 hours as it penetrates through the first layer of skin. Teresa also used galvanic current to penetrate deeper into the skin. Teresa used natural products and told me the importance of each. I especially liked the Elastin lotion, which replaces the lost elastin and collagen in my skin.
The facial was not only cleansing for my skin, but for my mind and senses as well. Teresa used aromatherapy to help me relax and enjoy the service. Scents of lime, lavender, and rosewood were drizzled onto steamed towels, which were held near my nose. Several deep, slow breaths of these steamy scented towels helped me relax. The facial also included hand, arm, neck, and shoulder massages to continue the relaxation!
After the facial, Teresa walked me through the skincare regime she prepared for me and showed me each product and how to use it. I left the spa with every product and I must admit, I have definitely seen an improvement in my skin from these products. I have less defined lines around my eyes and mouth and my pores around my nose do not appear as clogged.
My massage with Beata was excellent. The room’s décor of earthy green walls, soothing music and flickering candlelight provided a great ambiance for Beata’s fabulous massage. I chose the Deep Tissue Massage, and Beata asked if I wanted a “relaxing deep tissue” or “deep, deep tissue”. It was nice to have the choice. I chose the relaxing one, since I needed the pressure of the deep tissue to release tension in my muscles, but I also needed to relax. Beata asked me about any sore muscles and she placed a heating pad on them to help relieve tension before they were massaged. I’ve also had eyebrow, lower legs, and Brazilian waxes at Oasis. Teresa makes me feel very comfortable and offers advice on ways to prevent ingrown hairs
The Distinctive Element
