"I just got back from my "Winter Wonderland" treatment at Indulge A Day Spa & Salon in Simsbury. The package is described as: "Classic facial, age defying eye treatment, back treatment with aromatherapy massage, classic manicure, complimentary hand massage, classic pedicure, complimentary beverages. $170 (regularly $215)."  The facilities are clean and spacious.  I enjoyed having one aesthetician do all of my services. And everything except for the pedicure was done in the same room. Unfortunately, the room was uncomfortably chilly. I made it through my back facial before I had to ask my aesthetician to turn up the heat. Although she said she would after my back massage (which I couldn't enjoy because I was so cold), it never felt any warmer in there. Also, since the room was in the front of the buiding, the road noise from Hopmeadow Street was loud enough to be disturbing.

I'd never had a back treatment, so my aesthetician did explain the process before she began. It wasn't anything to write home about, and I didn't like laying there for 20 minutes without being checked on. The facial came next and I was SO waiting on the steam in hopes of warming up, but there was no steaming. Again I was left in the cold room alone for 20 minutes without being checked on. At that point I was all too ready to get my clothes back on as soon as possible. The morning ended with a manicure and pedicure that were as basic as they come.  When it came time to check out, I was surprised that I couldn't charge a tip to my total, so I'll just have to mail her a check. It's always fun to try new spas, but I certainly will not go back there again."
