LetsGoSpa Review- January 2005

The Vibe
With easy access from Interstate 84 (exit 68), Headliners Salon and Spa is well worth the drive from wherever you are in CT!  Your escape begins from the moment you walk through the private entrance to the spa and are greeted by soothing spa music and soft, subtle scents.  The friendly spa receptionist checks you in and guides you to the large, yet cozy, relaxation area where you are offered your choice of several beverages.  A variety of snacks can be found on every table in this spa haven.  The room has a high ceiling, plenty of windows, and an entire wall made of glass doors that separate you from the rest of the spa without making you feel closed in.  The décor is elegant with splashes of floral patterns that add a comfortable touch.  The four dimly lit treatment rooms are filled with spa ambiance and many soothing details.

The Little Things
We love the little details in every service:  the scalp massage during the wrap (50 minutes, $80), the use of heated products throughout the customized facial ($65), the choice of aromatherapy oils for the steamy hot facial towels, the extra attention to every knot during the massage (50 minutes, $65), the moisture infusing warm honey spread on your feet during the pedicure ($50), and the bit of modesty you can keep even during a Brazilian wax ($40)…The staff is very attentive and happy to answer any questions you may have…We were also impressed by the new client welcome package and the variety of the sample facials products we were given to take home

The Star Treatment
If you are looking for a unique, pampering spa experience, then look no further than the Moor Mud Body Wrap.  This top-notch service is provided in the spa’s Wet Room, which is decked out with tiled floors and walls and Swiss Shower.  Your skin is first prepped with oils that have mud extracts.  Moor Mud is heated and applied to your entire body.  Next you are wrapped in a layer of plastic, which holds in your body heat and helps your pores absorb the nutrients in the mud.  To make things extra cozy, heated blankets are placed on top of you. While you are wrapped up, a scalp and facial massage allow you to truly escape into pure relaxation.  The bliss continues as you then rinse off in the heated Swiss shower with its five shower heads that encompasses your entire body!  The treatment is topped off with special lotion to continue the absorption of nutrients.  You’ll leave the service with silky smooth skin!

The Distinctive Element
The Facilities:   A Wet Room with Swiss Shower, heated and contoured facial and massage tables that make the treatments extra cozy, an elegant relaxation room to unwind before and after your treatments, and a changing room with lockers to store your personal belongings so that you can relax for the entire day.

What to Keep in Mind...If you opt for the “Star Treatment”, the Moor mud is difficult to remove from your body so be prepared to scrub to get it off your skin…Although the pedicure chairs are not the modern leather, massaging recliners, they are still comfortable…Be sure to arrive early and save some time after your services to spend in the relaxation room.  You can ask for a locker, robe and slippers if you aren’t offered them; they’re usually only given to guests receiving multiple services…Spa lunches are available upon request.
