LetsGoSpa was lucky enough to be a part of a spa bachelorette party. Seven of us girls headed down to the Red Door Salon and Spa in Mystic for a day we’ll always treasure!

LetsGoSpa: Why did you choose to spend the day at a spa for your bachelorette party?

Bride: I thought it would be a relaxing day. I wanted all my girls to hang out, spend quality time together and treat themselves to services. Wedding planning can be very stressful and it was nice to spend a day at the spa right before the wedding. It was more important for me to have a spa day with the girls rather than going out, getting drunk and then not remembering anything about my bachelorette. Although we did end up doing shots when we ran into a bachelor party at Mohegan Sun that night.

LetsGoSpa: Why the Red Door Spa for your special day?

Bride: I’ve been there before and enjoyed my services last time. The facilities are great and there are other things for us to do including using the fitness center, pool, hot tub and steam room. They also have a locker room with robes, sandals, showers and amenities to get ready to go out for dinner afterwards.

LetsGoSpa: How did the staff at the Red Door Spa do?

Bride: They were very accomodating to my bachelorette party. They gave our entire party complimentary smoothies. This was a nice touch, it gave us all an opportunity to spend time in the relaxation room enjoying a break. There were other little things that made it a perfect day from extending our appointments when we arrived late to complimentary parting gift bags with spa products (signature mints, cream and sugar scrub, shea butter hand cream, body wash and body moisturizer). Our names were even written on the bag! The appointment process was smooth, they called us the day they opened their books for June and accommodated our request for female therapists.

LetsGoSpa: What was the best part of the day?

Bride: Hanging out with all the girls in the relaxation room. All of us are on the go and never sit back and relax and do nothing but enjoy each other’s company. It was nice to talk with other spa-goers in the relaxation room. I definitely loved my services too, the olive oil body glow and Red Door signature facial.

Everybody loved going to the spa including two of our girls that had never been before. We loved the pampering and hanging out together in our robes and slippers. We started our day together awaiting our treatments in the relaxation room and finished the day back in the relaxation room chatting about how wonderful our services were. By the time we left the spa, we were refreshed and ready for a night out at Mohegan Sun casino to finish our bachelorette party!
