LetsGoSpa Review- March 2004
Facilities/Atmosphere
Bloom is a nice, surprisingly large facility. It's in it's own little "house" in a shopping center that is full of little houses to give the plaza that village effect. When you walk in, you enter the reception area, which is painted in a light yellow and it gives you a very clean, warm feeling. Beyond the reception area, is a wide foyer. Here they have a nice table with tea and coffee. Off to the left is a relaxation room with a dining table and a couch, straight ahead is a boutique where you can purchase spa products. Off to the right is a pedicure room and further down on the right is the manicure room. They have 2 pedicure and 2 manicure stations, in rooms so spacious that you never feel crammed in. There is a staircase that leads upstairs which is where they have the hair stations and the treatment rooms (massage, facial, and "wet room"). They also have a yoga room upstairs where they do private yoga classes. The rooms upstairs are painted pale blue and it is very refreshing. It’s like the blue sky on a summer day! There are hardwood floors throughout (except in the treatment rooms upstairs). It’s a clean feeling. The decor is cozy with good colors and comfy furniture.

Service/Staff
There was no "Mean Person at the Front Counter" at Bloom. Instead, the receptionist was incredibly friendly and made the experience that much better. More proof of the extraordinary service and attention you get at Bloom, is when one of the therapists literally held an elderly woman's hand and walked her out to her car after her services. Need we say anymore?

Treatments
The Traditional Pedicure was out of this world. I felt like a queen on her throne during the entire service. I sat back in the leather pedicure chair with remote controls in both hands. The control in my left hand allowed me to recline my seat and move it backward and forward. The right hand controlled the heat and the massage technique. While my body was enjoying the heat and massage, my feet were enjoying the jets in the whirlpool bath. I was served peppermint tea in a nice big teacup, sipped and relaxed while taking in the pleasant surroundings. The spacious pedicure room was very soothing with pale yellow walls, white trim, orange sherbet colored towels and bright blooming flowers. It felt so good to enjoy all this without disruption before the treatment even started. Throughout the first half of the pedicure my feet continued to soak in the tub and the foot exfoliation massage was calming. Inspired by the bright flowers, I chose a bright pink polish from their newest line and then my feet were ready for South Beach Miami!
I also had an eyebrow waxing. It is probably the best eyebrow wax I’ve had yet. Carissa paid much attention to detail in shaping my brows. They came out perfect and there were no stragglers.

What Sets This Spa Apart?
The décor is unlike any other spa and very refreshing. The blooming flower theme is carried through the spa and makes for a very comforting environment. Everyone at the spa is very friendly and I felt right at home there.
Would I go back?
I’m already thinking about when I can get my next pedicure!
